The OrCAD / Allegro Starter Library 1.0 is a free library that includes OrCAD Capture schematic , Allegro Design Entry HDL and Allegro Design Entry CIS symbols along with OrCAD / Allegro PCB Editor footprints and the necessary component properties. It is designed for new customers who are evaluating or implementing a Cadence PCB flow or wanting to build a fully compatible library for use with the OrCAD / Allegro family of PCB design tools. A documented catalog of the OrCAD / Allegro Starter Library contents, as well as sample specifications used in the development of the library is available in Adobe .pdf format.

PSpice allows the user to model semiconductor devices such as diodes, bipolar junction transistors (BJT), field effect transistors, and integrated circuits such as operational amplifiers. We discuss here only very simple models for the diode and BJT. Please refer to a PSpice manual for full details on these and other semiconductor devices and circuits.
A full-wave diode circuit with a center-tapped step down transformer of turn ratios 6:1 is supplying a load RL = 1 KW as shown. A 10 m F capacitor is added to smooth the ripple. R2 is added to provide a voltage divider so as to control the voltage across RL. The diode model is 1N4002. The supply voltage amplitude is 169 V, and its frequency is 60Hz. Use transient analysis to plot the voltage across RL.
The full version of the PSpice software for circuit analysis/design was obtained from the Cadence Co. (Portland, OR). Details of the methods and assumptions were given previously, including the entire circuit that was used [8]. An abbreviated version of the circuitry is given in the first two figures. The surface membrane of each myocardial cell was represented by 2 units and each junctional membrane by 1 unit (Figs. 1, 2). The values for the circuit parameters used under standard conditions are listed in Table 1 for both the surface units and junctional units in both types of muscle. The cell was assumed to be a cylinder 150 μm long and 16 μm in diameter (CMC) or 200 μm long and 5 μm in diameter (SMC). The myocardial cell capacitance was assumed to be 100 pF, and the input resistance to be 20 MΩ; the corresponding values for the smooth muscle cells were 50 pF and 25 MΩ. A junctional tortuosity (interdigitation) factor of 4 was assumed for the CMC junction, and a factor of 5 for the SMC junction.
Micro-Cap 10, 11, and 12 are now free and require no key. You can download the full CD or the executable only. Full CD: Use this option if you are new to Micro-Cap or want a fresh install. Download the CD and unzip it into a separate folder. Execute the setup.exe program to install the entire program including libraries, sample circuits, and manuals. Make sure you install to a non-write-protected folder. Note that Windows Program Files is a write-protected folder, so install somewhere else. Executable only: Use this option if you want to retain your old library edits. Download the ZIP file and copy all its files into your current Micro-Cap folder, replacing the old .EXE and .DLL files. This option is also available from within Micro-Cap at Help menu / Check for Updates. Older versions of Micro-Cap (MC5 through MC9) downloads are available but still require a key.
The Haspdinst.exe file present in the ZIP file needs to be run with the command switch '-i'. Click on the Start menu in Windows and select the Run option in the menu. In the Run dialog box, enter the full path (either manually or through the Browse option) for the Haspdinst.exe file. At the end of the string, hit the spacebar, and then type in -i. For example, if the files in the ZIP file were extracted to the path C:\HASP, the Run dialog box should contain a string such as: C:\HASP\Haspdinst.exe -i If Windows has placed double quotes around the path and file name, the -i must be placed outside of the quotes. This installs the latest security key driver which must be present to run the update. If this does not work, remove the old driver and then reinstall the new one as follows: %path%\Haspdinst.exe -r This removes the old driver. Then to install the new driver, type: %path%\Haspdinst.exe -i where %path% is the location that the files were extracted to. A message should appear that states the driver has been successfully installed. 2ff7e9595c
